The participants, mostly Abuja-based journalists across different newsrooms, who were tutored by seasoned climate change and health experts, saw the training as an eye-opener to deep dive into the climate change and health issues plaguing humanity.

‘Seyifunmi Adebote, an environmentalist and participant opined that the training would set the pace to consequentially report the various health and climate change issues.

We must do more than communicate the science of climate change in the context and pretext that it is passed down. The “Forwarded As Received” approach to communicating climate change must cease.

Not recently have I been a part of such a well-planned training session. The brilliance of the resource persons – all young, experienced and knowledgeable experts. Since COVID19, I seem to have forgotten what it feels like to participate in a physical training session.

It is important we have mutual interests or professional intersections, else don’t bother please.
It is important you can keep track of projects, manage calendars, communicate promptly via emails and show some creativity.
